Devotional LeaderA brief devotion is presented at each TML meeting.  This can be a reading, scripture, music, personal experience, etc.  Volunteers are needed to present such devotions.  The coordinator may be contacted for help with ideas or topics.  Our church library is another good resource.

First Friday VigilOn the first Friday of each month, St. Thomas More Church has a vigil from 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.  This is a quiet time of prayer, reflection and adoration.  At least one person should be present at all times when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. TML has agreed to have someone from our group present between the hours of 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Please indicate if you would be able to commit to regular attendance, or if you could be called as a substitute.

Funeral DinnersAll members of the parish are called on to help provide food for funeral dinners.  As a member of this committee, you will be asked to work/serve at the funeral dinner (usually from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on the day of the funeral).

Hostesses for TML MeetingsEach TML meeting requires hostesses.  Hostess duties are:
1)  Act as a welcoming committee to each new woman attending the meeting.  Make them feel welcome by introducing them to someone that they could sit with.
2) Set up table at entrance of Werth Hall with sign-in sheet and nametags.
3) Set up refreshment serving area and clean up after meeting.
4) Prepare and serve refreshments at meeting.
5) Inform Vice President of any changes in hostess schedule.

International Students’ NurseryAs a member of Church Women United, TML takes its turn in October to furnish sitters for pre-school children of the foreign students’ wives as they attend weekly language classes and other activities at the First Presbyterian Church, 801 Leavenworth.  Paid nursery employees are present, but we need 3 or 4 volunteers each Tuesday from 9:30 – 11:00 am.  Your pre-schooler may accompany you and play with the other children.

Kitchen Clean UpThis committee is responsible for general cleaning in the parish kitchen and will meet as a group at least once during the year to perform this clean up.  If the need arises, you may be contacted more than once.

Manhattan Emergency ShelterAs a participant in this activity, you will prepare a main dish (usually a casserole) to serve 15-25 people.  This dish must be taken to the Shelter around 5:00 pm on the 11th of the month.  The coordinator will contact you as a reminder when it is your month.
